Thanksgiving

I’m finally back in Santa Barbara after a great week of travelling. I started out last Saturday flying to Denver to meet up with my parents and hang out with my uncle Howard. We ate dinner at Morton’s, as usual. On Sunday, we made a short day trip out to Vail to see all the work Howard’s been doing. Apparently, after buying the Evergreen Lodge, he’s now the second largest land owner in Vail. Here are a few pictures from the weekend (there are more on my Flickr site):

The top two are both from Vail. The one on the left is a construction site sign from the Four Seasons Howard is building in Vail. The one on the right is of a ski lift in Vail. The bottom left is a street is Georgetown, CO, a very small town between Denver and Vail. We stopped at an old-fashioned soda fountain and had some real Coke (the kind where they mix the soda water and syrup together), and some ice cream. The bottom right is a photo from the Broncos-Chargers game. Most of these pictures came out like crap since I didn’t have the camera set up properly. If you’re wondering why I didn’t realize this when taking pictures, the Zach Morris camera only has a 1″ screen, so I couldn’t tell the pictures looked so bad.

I spent 24 hours in Santa Barbara before heading to Texas for the Thanksgiving break. Texas was very relaxing. I played some golf with my parents and then cooked them an excellent meal Wednesday night. I got to watch a lot of football, eat a lot of good food, and drink a lot of good wine. I didn’t go out once for a change, just spent time with my parents. I did play some tennis with my mom, and will hopefully start playing more out here. Overall, I’d consider one of the most enjoyable Thanksgiving breaks I’ve had. I hope yours was as good as mine.
